We are very happy with MDaemon, as a small/medium size company it just makes Exchange look like an expensive, featureless toy... MDaemon exceed's all expectations and has done us well, it requires little admin work and as I've said before, support when it does go wrong or I have a question is superb!

I wish some other software firms were as good as you guys.

I think we'll get the Archive Server when we move to MDaemon Pro. We had an old Exchange box for a part of the company and the backup wouldn't restore after another crash, I've got some angry colleagues who've lost email with no hope of getting it back, let alone contacts stuff, etc... Microsoft wanted £200 just to look at the corrupt backup file.

Anyway that's pretty much helped us make up our mind to move everyone over to MDaemon Pro, with Outlook Connector and Archive Server. Your stuff never seems to go wrong, so power to you.

MDaemon 9.x is an excellent product and a genuine Exchange-killer in terms of functionality. However, this isn't enough on its own - when using any software in an Enterprise environment the provision of rapid, quality support is critical when problems do occur.

At Cantarus we have had few problems with MDaemon and I'm pleased to say that with first class support from Zen Software none of those few problems have been serious and all have been quickly resolved. In terms of responsiveness, product knowledge and all-round efficacy the Zen team are as good as I have seen.

Thank you everyone at Alt-N for MDaemon 9! In fact, thank you for all the years that MDaemon has provided us with a stable, reliable, low (to zero) maintenance email system.

The upgrade went smoothly, and users are reporting fantastic speeds (even those who don't often use email or are reluctant to do so!). WorldClient users love auto-complete on addresses and the fancy new message format tools. Users on IMAP ( via Outlook Connector) just love the SPEED and the cool new 'Out Of Office' button!

Says it all really! Makes my job soooo much easier!

Zen Software's support system has also been absolutely fantastic, especially with a recent huge 'Archive Server for MDaemon' problem...which was solved rapidly and professionally and got our system back up and running in record time. Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the recent release of MDaemon and the improved spam filtering. As you know we had a big spam problem (seemed big for the size of our company!) getting more than 150 emails a day to users email boxes and over 500 emails a day being sent to non existent addresses.

Following your advice a couple of months ago we started using the Bayesian learning system which seems to work a lot better...since we upgraded it has gone down to less then 10 spams per day in users mail boxes and the best bit is that the spam filter is not targeting genuine emails which is always a worry.

After using the horrendous Turnpike program for a major client's mail server, we looked at various products, including Exchange server and IceWarp's Merak MailServer. We initially settled on Merak though this was delayed due to the complicated installation process. MDaemon was suggested to us so we decided to 'give it a go'. And we are SO glad we did.

Whilst we are still to use MDaemon to its potential, I must say how impressed I am with the software. Not only is it stupidly easy to install and set-up, its use is painless. I certainly heartily recommend MDaemon to anyone looking to install a mail server application. There is only one problem - because it is so easy to use and configure, professionals like myself will find it difficult to earn a living from it.

20 minutes to install and initially configure - compared to 3+ hours for Turnpike or Exchange server Virtually no maintenance (yet) - compared to at least 4 hours per week for Turnpike.

MDaemon appears, at first view, to be the dream product as far as mail servers go. Feature rich; ease of use and integration with existing clients make it a 'must have'.

The upgrade was painless ... And all I can say is WOW!

MDaemon 9 is everything advertised and more! Much faster IMAP and WorldClient sessions, and the new multi-threaded Content Filter and separate Spam Assassin MDaemon ROCKS! In fact, it's actually much lighter on CPU and RAM than v8.15 on my system. For the first time, I am now able to enable INLINE AV and SA scanning and the system keeps up with the load without producing a backlog. It's so fast that I've actually added a lot of DNSBL rules to my SA installation for sites like SORBS, SPEWS, FIVETEN and some others. You may want to consider adding these to SA as they are catching a lot of junk.
